Terms of service
Last updated: July 26, 2026
1. Overview
This website is operated by Mafamoussi LLC, doing business as Ebook Chef. Throughout these Terms of Service, the terms “Ebook Chef,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Mafamoussi LLC.
Ebook Chef offers this website, ebookchef.store (the “Site”), including all information, features, digital products, and services made available through the Site (collectively, the “Services”), subject to these Terms of Service.
By visiting the Site, creating an account, purchasing a product, downloading an eBook, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to make a purchase through the Site.
If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use the Services only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
By using the Services, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Our Digital Products
Ebook Chef sells digital products, primarily downloadable cookbooks and recipe eBooks provided in PDF format.
No physical product will be shipped unless a product page expressly states otherwise.
Product descriptions, images, page counts, included recipes, formats, prices, and other details are displayed on the applicable product page. Please review this information carefully before completing your purchase.
We reserve the right to:
Add, update, or discontinue products;
Change product descriptions;
Correct errors or inaccuracies;
Limit the availability of a product; and
Change prices at any time before an order is completed.
Changes to prices will not affect orders that have already been accepted and paid.
4. Orders and Acceptance
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected product.
An order is not considered accepted until:
Your payment has been successfully authorized;
We send an order confirmation; or
We provide access to the purchased digital product.
We reserve the right to reject, limit, or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:
Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment;
Incorrect product or pricing information;
Technical errors;
Suspected resale or unauthorized distribution;
Abuse of promotional offers;
Violation of these Terms; or
A legal or regulatory requirement.
If we cancel a paid order before the digital product is delivered, we will refund the applicable amount to the original payment method.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete billing, contact, and account information.
5. Prices, Taxes, and Payment
Prices are displayed in the currency shown during checkout.
Applicable taxes, processing costs, or currency-conversion charges may be added where required. Your bank, card provider, or payment service may separately impose conversion or transaction fees. We do not control those fees.
Payments are processed through Shopify and supported third-party payment providers. By submitting payment information, you represent that:
You are authorized to use the selected payment method;
The information provided is accurate; and
You authorize the applicable charges for your order.
We do not guarantee that every payment method will always be available.
6. Digital Delivery
After payment is successfully confirmed, the purchased eBook will generally be made available through:
A download link displayed after checkout;
A download link delivered by email; or
Another digital-delivery method described during checkout.
You are responsible for:
Providing a correct and accessible email address;
Checking your inbox and spam or junk folders;
Maintaining a compatible device and PDF reader;
Downloading and securely storing your purchased file; and
Contacting us if you experience a delivery problem.
Delivery times may occasionally be affected by payment verification, email-provider delays, maintenance, or technical problems.
If you do not receive your download or receive the wrong file, contact us at contact@ebookchef.store with your order information.
7. Licence to Use Purchased eBooks
When you purchase an eBook, you are purchasing a limited licence to use the digital content. You are not purchasing ownership of the copyright or intellectual property contained in the eBook.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to:
Download the purchased eBook;
Store it on your personal devices;
Read it for your personal use; and
Print a reasonable number of copies for your personal, non-commercial use.
This licence does not permit you to:
Resell the eBook;
Redistribute or share copies publicly;
Upload it to file-sharing websites or online groups;
Forward the download link to unauthorized recipients;
Publish the eBook or substantial portions of it;
Repackage or offer it as your own product;
Use it to create a competing commercial product;
Remove copyright notices, watermarks, or ownership information;
Reproduce it for commercial training or distribution; or
Grant sublicences to another person.
Purchasing an eBook as a gift is allowed only when the product or checkout process permits gifting. Unless expressly stated otherwise, one purchase provides a licence for one purchaser or intended gift recipient.
Unauthorized sharing or commercial use may result in termination of the licence and may expose the responsible person to legal claims.
8. Intellectual Property
The Site and its contents—including eBooks, recipes as presented and compiled, written instructions, photographs, graphics, illustrations, branding, logos, product designs, page layouts, and downloadable materials—are owned by or licensed to Mafamoussi LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Individual ingredient lists or general cooking concepts may not be protected in every jurisdiction. However, the original expression, selection, arrangement, photographs, instructions, design, and compilation contained in our products may be protected.
“Ebook Chef,” associated logos, and branding may not be used without our prior written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
9. Refunds and Digital Content
Because our products are digital and access is generally provided immediately, purchases are normally final once the eBook has been accessed, delivered, or downloaded.
Refunds are not normally provided because you:
Changed your mind;
Purchased the wrong product;
Did not review the product description;
No longer want the eBook;
Lack compatible software or a suitable device; or
Expected content that was not promised in the product description.
However, please contact us if:
You were charged more than once for the same order;
You received the wrong file;
The file is corrupted or cannot be opened;
The download link does not function; or
The product is materially different from its description.
We will first attempt to replace, repair, or redeliver the product. When that is not reasonably possible, we may provide a refund where appropriate.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights available under applicable law.
European and United Kingdom customers
Where legally applicable, by requesting immediate access to digital content before the end of a statutory withdrawal period, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you may lose your right to withdraw once access or downloading begins.
This loss of the withdrawal right applies only when the legally required consent and acknowledgement have been properly obtained.
10. Recipe, Food-Safety, and Allergy Disclaimer
Our eBooks are provided for general informational and educational purposes. They are not medical, nutritional, dietary, or professional health advice.
Although we aim to provide useful and accurate recipes, results can vary because of differences in ingredients, appliances, measurements, altitude, temperature, preparation methods, substitutions, and individual skill.
You are responsible for:
Checking ingredients before use;
Identifying allergens and dietary restrictions;
Avoiding ingredients that may be unsafe for you or another person;
Following appropriate food-handling and hygiene practices;
Cooking food to safe internal temperatures;
Preventing cross-contamination;
Safely using knives, ovens, stovetops, and other equipment; and
Supervising children in the kitchen.
Ingredient manufacturers may change their formulations. Always check current product labels, even if an ingredient was previously considered suitable.
If you have allergies, intolerances, a medical condition, are pregnant, take medication, or follow a medically prescribed diet, consult a qualified healthcare professional before relying on or substantially changing your diet.
Nutritional information, if provided, is an estimate and may vary depending on the ingredients, brands, quantities, portions, and preparation methods used.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for allergic reactions, foodborne illness, injuries, adverse health effects, or unsuccessful results arising from ingredient choices, substitutions, improper preparation, unsafe handling, equipment use, or failure to consider individual dietary needs.
11. Customer Accounts
Certain Site features may allow you to create or use a customer account.
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate account information;
Maintaining the confidentiality of your password;
Restricting access to your account and devices; and
All activity occurring through your account.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or use.
We may suspend or terminate an account reasonably believed to be fraudulent, compromised, or used in violation of these Terms.
12. Reviews and User Content
If you submit a review, comment, photograph, suggestion, recipe result, or other content (“User Content”), you represent that:
You own the content or have permission to submit it;
The content is accurate and lawful;
It does not infringe another person’s rights;
It does not contain harmful code, spam, or deceptive material; and
It does not include confidential information you are unauthorized to disclose.
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting it to us, you grant Mafamoussi LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, reproduce, display, format, edit, translate, distribute, and use that content in connection with operating and promoting Ebook Chef.
We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, or harmful.
13. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Site or Services to:
Violate any law or regulation;
Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
Resell or unlawfully distribute our digital products;
Submit false or misleading information;
Commit fraud or make unauthorized payments;
Upload malicious software or harmful code;
Scrape, crawl, copy, or extract Site content using automated means without authorization;
Interfere with the Site’s security or operation;
Attempt to access another customer’s account;
Circumvent access controls or download restrictions;
Harass, threaten, or harm another person;
Send spam or unsolicited communications; or
Use the Services for an unlawful or abusive purpose.
We may restrict or terminate access if these rules are violated.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may rely on or link to third-party services, including Shopify, payment processors, customer-account tools, email providers, and digital-delivery services.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, policies, security, or practices of websites and services that we do not control.
Your use of Shopify-powered features may also be subject to applicable Shopify terms.
15. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that personal information may be processed by Shopify and other providers necessary to operate the Site, process payments, deliver products, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.
16. Errors and Inaccuracies
Occasionally, the Site may contain typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions, incorrect prices, or omissions relating to products, availability, promotions, or offers.
We reserve the right to correct such information and cancel affected orders, including after an order has been submitted. If we cancel a paid order due to our error, we will refund the affected amount.
17. Availability and Changes to the Services
We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site or Services.
We do not guarantee that:
The Site will always be available;
Access will be uninterrupted or error-free;
Every browser or device will be compatible;
Download links will remain available indefinitely; or
Defects will always be corrected immediately.
You should download and securely retain a personal backup of each purchased eBook.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site, Services, and digital products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee particular cooking results, health outcomes, commercial outcomes, or customer satisfaction.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the maximum extent allowed by law.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mafamoussi LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability relating to a product, order, or use of the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the product or order giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or other non-waivable consumer rights.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mafamoussi LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:
Your unlawful use of the Services;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your infringement of another person’s rights; or
Your unauthorized redistribution or commercial use of our products.
This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
21. Termination
These Terms remain effective while you use the Services.
We may suspend or terminate your access when we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, infringed intellectual-property rights, or created a security or legal risk.
Termination does not eliminate obligations or liabilities arising before termination. Provisions concerning intellectual property, licensing restrictions, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and disputes will survive termination.
22. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights, disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought before the competent state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and each party consents to their jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer outside the United States, this section does not deprive you of mandatory rights or protections provided by the laws of your country of residence.
Before filing a formal claim, we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter informally.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our products, business practices, technology, or legal obligations.
The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes will apply from the date they are posted unless otherwise stated or required by law.
The Terms in effect when an order was placed will generally govern that transaction.
24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted or removed if necessary. The remaining provisions will remain in effect.
25. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any product-specific terms displayed during checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mafamoussi LLC concerning the Services.
If product-specific terms conflict with these Terms, the product-specific terms will control for that product to the extent of the conflict.
